At Animal Emergency Services (AES) Canberra, we deliver emergency and critical care to pets when they need it most, afterhours.

At AES Canberra, you’ll work at the forefront of emergency medicine, delivering life-saving care when it matters most.
What You’ll Be Doing
Perform triage and emergency patient assessmentAssist with critical care, diagnostics & proceduresMonitor anaesthesia and surgical casesDeliver high-quality nursing care to hospitalised ECC patientsSupport vets in managing complex and urgent casesProvide clear, compassionate communication to pet ownersExpect exposure to varied and high-acuity cases, from trauma and tick cases to GDVs, snake bites and more.
What We’re Looking For
Certificate IV in Veterinary NursingMinimum 2+ years clinical experience (ECC highly regarded)Confidence working in fast-paced, high-pressure environmentsStrong teamwork and communication skillsFlexible availability for a variety of shifts across the weeknights, early mornings, overnights, and weekends.Own transport (required for shift work)
Highly Desirable
ECC experienceRecover CPR / Fear Free certificationExperience with Smartflow, IDEXX, RxWorks
