Production Technician

About Us  

Ocius Technology is an Australian company dedicated to developing and deploying cutting-edge Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs). Our vessels harness wind, solar and wave power to remain at sea collecting vital data for Defence and Civilian applications.  

We are under contract with RAN, RNZN and USA and are responding in an agile way to an ambitious program of building and deploying multiple USVs for operations across Australia and beyond. You will be joining a fast-growing organisation contributing to nationally significant projects.  

About the Role  

The Production Technician will build our Bluebottles! The entire team work together to deliver a high quality, reliable and proven platform to our customers ensuring the ongoing success of the Bluebottle.

A Typical Day looks Like  

• Building and fitting sub-assemblies

• Installing finished electronic systems

• Fabricating/machining custom parts

Selection Criteria  

• Proven experience working in in a marine production or maintenance environment, including the use of power tools and hand tools 

• Strong experience in a workshop environment, including using power tools, assembling sub-assemblies 

• Experience installing, connecting and testing finished electrical components and wiring in by following technical drawings and schematics 

• Consistent application of safety, cleanliness and quality standards, maintaining tidy work areas and following Work Health and Safety (WHS) practices. 

• Experience working with an ERP (NetSuite) preferred

• Maritime or mechanical trade preferred
