About the role

voestalpine High Performance Metals (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated Purchasing Officer to join our team in Canning Vale, Western Australia. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting our procurement operations and ensuring the efficient sourcing of materials and services. As a Purchasing Officer, you will be instrumental in maintaining strong supplier relationships, managing procurement processes, and contributing to the overall operational success of our organisation. Key Responsibilities

• Process/raise and follow-through of purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner

• Build strong relationships ensuring clear and strong communication lines between vendors and the company

• Negotiating terms, pricing and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve best value for money

• Maintaining accurate records of purchases, invoices and supplier information in procurement systems

• Tracking shipments and following up on delivery dates to ensure timely receipt of goods

• Assisting with inventory management and coordinating with warehouse and logistics teams

• Resolving discrepancies and managing returns or disputes with suppliers

• Adhering to company policies, procedures and compliance requirements in all purchasing activities

About You

• You must be proactive and detail driven

• Experience within a purchasing role is desirable

• Strong communication skills and able to build relationships

• Able to prioritise competing deadlines

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to learn
