About the role
About the Role:
Our Engineering Leadership team is responsible for driving best practice nationally through standardised work and project management and implementation of capital works initiatives.
The State Engineering team will drive reliability and operational performance through innovation, reduction of unplanned down time, and partnering with production to maximise business unit output.
We have a fabulous opportunity for an experienced and qualified Engineering professional to join our team in this varied role. Reporting to the Associate Director Capital Projects, you will work as part of a team to provide effective management of defined project and engineering support to meet business requirements.
The Key Accountabilities of this role;
Project and Site Safety
Ensure the safety of employees, contractors, and visitors by proactively identifying, managing, and reporting risks, hazards, and incidents in accordance with CCEP safety standards and procedures.Maintain a safe project environment throughout all phases of project delivery, ensuring compliance with CCEP safety policies, systems, and regulatory requirements.Embed Safety in Design principles during project planning, scoping, and execution to minimise operational and project-related risks and deliver safe, sustainable outcomes.Promote a strong safety culture across engineering and project teams through visible leadership, coaching, and compliance monitoring.
State Engineering Team Leadership
Lead, develop, and coach the State Engineering team to build capability, strengthen technical expertise, and support succession planning.Set clear performance expectations, manage team performance, and ensure delivery against agreed objectives and business priorities.Allocate and manage resources effectively to ensure projects and operational activities are delivered within budget and agreed timelines.Build and maintain strong relationships with Supply Chain and cross-functional stakeholders to support operational performance and business outcomes.Provide technical leadership, guidance, and project expertise to support decision-making and problem-solving across the business.Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and engineering best practices, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
State Engineering Management
Develop and execute short and long-term engineering strategies aligned with site, state, and national Supply Chain objectives.Manage engineering budgets and capital plans, including site master planning activities and asset lifecycle management.Develop and maintain site-level Plant and Equipment investment strategies that contribute to the national investment roadmap and future business requirements.Provide engineering expertise and technical support to Supply Chain operations to ensure equipment reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.Ensure all engineering documentation, asset records, drawings, standards, and technical information are accurate, compliant, and maintained.
Project Delivery
Develop, prioritise, and manage a portfolio of engineering and capital projects across the Supply Chain network.Deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, and to agreed scope, quality, and operational performance requirements.Ensure project outcomes support business strategy, operational objectives, customer service targets, and financial performance expectations.Monitor project costs, timelines, risks, and cash flow, implementing corrective actions where required to achieve delivery objectives.Effectively manage external contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure compliance, performance, and successful project outcomes.Establish robust governance, reporting, and stakeholder management processes to ensure project transparency and alignment with business priorities.
Success Measures
Zero harm and compliance with all safety requirements.Delivery of engineering projects within agreed scope, budget, and schedule.Achievement of capital investment and cost management targets.Improved asset reliability, operational efficiency, and engineering capability.Strong stakeholder engagement and positive customer outcomes.Effective team development, succession planning, and employee engagement.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
Post Graduate in Engineering or related disciplineExperience leading and developing teamsKnowledge of Manufacturing Operations, Maintenance and LogisticsPrevious experience in Project Management / Operations ManagementFinancial and analytical skillsHighly developed communication skills
