Payroll Officer

With over 20 years of experience delivering institutional real estate across three core sectors, Residential, Retail and Hotels, the firm is strategically positioned to capitalise on opportunities in these markets.

Due to our exponential growth, we are seeking an autonomous and administrative Payroll Officer to join our team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Accurate and on-time end-to-end payroll processing of delegated fortnightly payrolls
• Processing complex payroll transactions including terminations, accruals and leave reconciliations
• Managing superannuation reconciliation and lodgement requirements
• Completing complex month-end and year-end reporting and lodgements within statutory timeframes
• Processing payrolls in other jurisdictions and providing manager coverage and approvals
• Maintaining payroll records and internal systems, including setting up new starters
• Liaising with stakeholders on payroll-related queries within defined customer service timeframes
• Documenting and maintaining written procedures while continually assessing processes for improvement
• Assisting with ad-hoc payroll projects, system implementations and integrations
• Provide guidance across all payroll matters to internal teams and clients
• Maintain audit-ready records and contribute to continual process improvement

• Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll delivery
• Confidentiality and discretion are imperative
• Expertise in AU payroll legislation, industrial instrument interpretation, and compliance
• A sharp eye for detail, with a mindset for continuous improvement and scalable solutions
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing full ‘in-house’ payroll data integrity
• A proactive, self-driven approach and a passion for delivering best-in-class outcomes
