Join Liverpool Hospital's Perioperative Unit and play a vital role in supporting safe, high-quality patient care throughout the surgical journey. As a Wardsperson, you'll be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team that helps ensure patients are prepared, supported and transferred safely for their procedures.
Safely transfer patients between the Perioperative Unit and Operating Theatres, contributing to a seamless surgical experience. Support nursing and clinical teams with patient preparation, positioning and manual handling using appropriate equipment and safe work practices. Maintain a clean, organised and patient-focused environment by preparing beds, trolleys and clinical areas to the highest standards. Build positive relationships with patients, families and members of the perioperative team through professional and compassionate communication. Contribute to service efficiency and patient safety by assisting with urgent situations and supporting the day-to-day flow of the unit.

You demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety, infection prevention and adherence to workplace procedures. You thrive in a busy environment, can manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure. You are compassionate, dependable and enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding patient care.
