As Manager, Software Engineering, you’ll guide a team focused on building platform products and shared services that other Resmed engineering teams rely on. Your influence will span everything from architecture decisions to improving the way we design, test, deploy, and operate software in production. While the role emphasizes leadership over hands-on coding, familiarity with modern technologies—such as REST APIs, cloud platforms, and distributed systems—will help you shape structured yet pragmatic solutions. Day to day, you’ll help teams deliver with clarity across regions, raise engineering standards, and support a developer experience that fosters speed without sacrificing quality.

What You’ll Do

• Lead a software engineering team responsible for platform products and shared services

• Set technical direction across architecture, APIs, distributed systems, and cloud environments

• Improve engineering standards for design, testing, deployment, and production operations

• Establish operating rhythms that enhance clarity and confidence in delivery

• Partner with product, design, architecture, and engineering stakeholders to align priorities

• Support cross-region collaboration and alignment across distributed teams

What You Bring

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams that build and operate production systems

• Strong technical judgment across modern software architecture and cloud platforms

• Understanding of APIs, scalability, resilience, and developer experience

• Familiarity with technologies like REST APIs (Java & Spring Boot or Python & FastAPI), AWS, relational databases, MongoDB, and Kubernetes is beneficial

• Experience with platform products or shared services consumed by internal/external users

• Ability to work across product, architecture, and design disciplines in distributed environments

• Commitment to quality, security, and privacy in complex software ecosystems
