About The Role
Reporting to the Partner/Director of Business Services & Tax in the Newcastle office, you will gain broad exposure to a variety of business services and tax matters, creating challenging and engaging work and enjoy the benefits of ongoing career development.

Role Responsibilities

• Managing the workflow for an enthusiastic team to meet deadlines
• Maintaining strong client relationships by delivering a professional service that exceeds expectations
• Providing a broad range of advisory services to clients, including business restructuring, tax planning and cash flow management
• Expanding your technical knowledge by participating in ongoing training and working on complex assignments
• Seeking opportunities to involve clients across our entire financial services offering
• Ensure technical accuracy and compliance with ATO regulations
• Support Managers and Partners with tax planning and advisory work 

Qualifications 

• Degree qualifications in accounting
• CA qualified or close to CA qualified

Skills and Experience 

• 4-5 years’ experience in a public practice firm/ chartered environment 
• Strong tax knowledge to manage the tax compliance and reporting obligations of corporate trusts, partnerships, and individuals
• Strong accounting skills to prepare financial statements for reporting and non-reporting corporations
• High level of business acumen and commercially astute with the ability to identify and manage risk
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to develop rapport and understand the needs of clients
• Xero certification and a true champion in cloud accounting solutions
