Case Manager - Domestic & Family Violence

We’re seeking a dedicated Case Manager – Domestic & Family Violence to join our Refuge Community Services team. you will be responsible for working with women, children, and young people who have experienced domestic and family violence.You’ll empower women, children, and families to recover and rebuild their lives free from violence.

Location: Brisbane, QLD
Role Type: Maximum Term Contract | Full Time role Until 31 August 2027
Remuneration: $47.63 - $51.25 ph + Super + Salary Packaging + Access to staff discounts & benefits   

What You'll Be Doing:
You'll work collaboratively with clients to understand their goals, identify risks and develop personalised support plans that promote safety, recovery and independence.

• Providing trauma-informed case management and ongoing support
• Completing comprehensive risk and needs assessments, including safety planning
• Supporting clients to access housing, financial assistance, legal, health and community services
• Advocating on behalf of clients with government agencies and external service providers
• Building trusting relationships that promote empowerment and informed decision-making
• Working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate support
• Maintaining accurate case notes, reports and client documentation
• Participating in case reviews, professional supervision and continuous improvement activities
• Contributing to a safe, respectful and inclusive service environment.

What You'll Bring:
We're looking for someone who is compassionate, resilient and committed to supporting women and families experiencing domestic and family violence.

• Experience delivering case management within domestic and family violence, family support or community services
• A strong understanding of trauma-informed, strengths-based and person-centred practice
• Knowledge of domestic and family violence risk assessment and safety planning
• Excellent communication, advocacy and relationship-building skills
• The ability to manage complex and sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload
• Relevant qualifications in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Community Services or a related discipline
• Current Queensland Driver's Licence
• Current Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
