Accounts and Payroll Officer- Bathurst

Workcontrol Operations Pty Ltd is a leading provider in the traffic management. We’re currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts & Payroll Assistant to join our team on a permanent full- time basis.

About the Role

Reporting to the Accounts & Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance and payroll functions. You’ll ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across payroll and accounts operations while contributing to the smooth running of our business.

Key Responsibilities

· End-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with legislation and Awards

· Accounts payable and receivable processing, reconciliations, and reporting

Previous experience in payroll and accounts administration (minimum 2 years essential)

· Assisting with month-end and year-end finance tasks

· General accounting and administrative support as required

Skills & Experience

· Previous experience in payroll and accounts administration (essential)

· Strong working knowledge of Xero Accounting Software

· Experience using Employment Hero / KeyPay (highly regarded)

· Sound understanding of payroll legislation, superannuation, and PAYG requirements

· High attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent organisational skills

· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a small team

· Strong communication and problem-solving skills
