Surgical Practice Administration

Specialist Plastic Surgery Practice administration role

Monday - Wednesday 0830-1600

- potential for additional hours Thursday & Friday

• Booking patient appointments and assisting with online patient registration

• Consultation invoicing and Medicare claims

• Daily maintenance of the workspace and preparation for patient consultation days

• Receiving and processing patient referrals

• Sending correspondence to other specialists and referrers

• High volume communication with patients via phone, email and face-to-face

• Data entry to assist the surgeon with research

Prerequisites:

• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn other programs

• Confidence in communicating with patients, hospital staff, referrers etc.

• An understanding of the procedures performed by the surgeon

• Understanding the imperative of maintaining patient confidentiality

• An awareness of data safety and cyber security

Desirables:

• Experience with Clinic to Cloud Software

• An understanding of Health Fund and Medicare processes
