You must have your 'HLTHPS006 Assist clients with medication' qualification and bring at least six months of experience ensuring safe medication management, handling, and storage while empowering clients with dignity and independence.

What you'll do:

• Administer and assist with medications safely and accurately in accordance with individualised care plans

• Monitor client health and medication responses, immediately reporting adverse reactions or changes in condition to nursing staff

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential Medication Administration Records (MAR) and documentation

• Deliver person-centred care that promotes client independence, dignity, rights, privacy, and active participation in their medication routine

• Communicate and collaborate effectively with nursing staff, pharmacists, and other multidisciplinary health professionals

• Follow strict infection control standards, safe work practices, and organizational policies when handling and storing medications

• Work strictly within your scope of practice, seeking guidance from clinical staff when required

• Contribute to a safe workplace by identifying and reporting hazards and complying with Quality Management and WHS requirements.

• Australian work rights

• HLTHPS006 Assist clients with medication

• 6 months experience as medication competent Carer

• Certificate III in Aged Care (Disability not accepted)

• Current National Police Clearance

• Current First Aid certificate

• Excellent communication skills
