This is a Permanent or Fixed Term appointment, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency, at various hours to be negotiated with the manager.
Eligibility to Apply: Pursuant of Section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984, the occupant of this position must be of Aboriginal descent.
Position Profile: This position is responsible for service delivery of the Kimberley Community Alcohol and Drug Service (KCADS) in the West Kimberley region (Derby, Fitzroy Crossing and surrounding communities) including clinical service delivery, community service delivery, education and training in the intervention and prevention of alcohol and drug related issues.
Area Profile: The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is the largest country health system in Australia and one of the biggest in the world, providing health services to approximately half a million people, including 45,000 Aboriginal people, over a vast two and a half million square kilometre area. The organisation comprises seven regions, with a strong network of public hospitals, health services and health centres located across rural and remote Western Australia.
