Service Manager

RCT is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Service Manager to join our Kalgoorlie team and lead service delivery across the Goldfields region.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technical leader who enjoys working with customers, developing people and driving operational excellence in a fast-paced mining environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Kalgoorlie Branch Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day service function across the Goldfields, ensuring our customers receive responsive, high-quality technical support.

You will lead and support our field service technicians, build strong customer relationships, coordinate workforce and service planning, and drive a culture of safety, quality and customer service.

You'll also identify opportunities to improve service delivery and work closely with our Sales team to support the continued growth of RCT across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day service operations across the Goldfields
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of field service technicians
• Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships
• Plan and schedule resources to meet customer and operational requirements
• Monitor service performance, budgets and expenditure
• Ensure installations, maintenance and field service activities are delivered safely and to a high standard
• Coordinate parts, consumables and equipment to support planned work
• Monitor backorders and supplier lead times to minimise service disruptions
• Conduct regular customer engagement, including site visits and service reviews
• Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and service delivery
• Develop service reporting and monitor performance
• Support new business opportunities in collaboration with the Sales team
• Champion safety leadership, accountability and continuous improvement across the team

About You

You're an experienced technical professional and people leader who knows how to build strong customer relationships while keeping service operations running effectively.

You'll ideally bring:

• Electrical (Low Voltage), Electronics or Mechanical Engineering background
• Relevant technical qualifications
• Extensive experience in field service, installation, maintenance or troubleshooting
• Previous experience leading technical or field service teams
• Strong understanding of RCT products and solutions
• Excellent customer relationship and stakeholder management skills
• Strong planning, scheduling and resource management capabilities
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A methodical, organised and process-driven approach
• A genuine passion for developing and mentoring people
• A strong commitment to safety
