School Sergeant (Main Entrance)

About the role

A Sergeant position at the main entrance to the School, providing a constant presence to manage visitors, supervise pupil behaviour and appearance, and monitor the School's safety and security at College Street.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a constant presence at the main entrance to the School

• Manage visitors by greeting and directing all visitors as required

• Liaise closely with the School's reception throughout the day

• Supervise boys' behaviour and appearance

• Monitor and maintain the School's safety and security at College Street

• Check all deliveries at the College Street gate

• Ensure main entrance area is clean and well presented at all times whilst on duty

• Assist bus arrangements at the main entrance

• Ensure the College Street main gate is open daily on school days at 7:00am

• Be in attendance at the College Street entrance at all times when the gate is open on School days

About you

• Alert the Deputy Headmaster or his delegate if a security or safety issue arises

• Ensure all visitors to the School sign in at the main entrance unless entry is preapproved

• Refer any pupil in flagrant breach of School rules, uniform deficiencies and/or conduct matters to the Deputy Headmaster or his delegate

• Ensure all pupils are correctly attired in accordance with School uniform policy

• Check lunch passes for all pupils in Forms I to IV prior to leaving the School grounds during the lunch period
