About UsThe Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport (DCITHS) unites the state’s key creative industries, Cultural Institutions, hospitality, entertainment, sports and tourism entities to bring vibrancy, enhance physical and social wellbeing and enrich cultural and creative experience and enterprise across NSW.
About The RoleThis temporary role will lead the development and establishment of portfolio-wide reporting and drive short-term strategic projects, governance activities and executive priorities on behalf of the Secretary. Provide strategic oversight of cross-portfolio delivery and performance reporting, and also co-ordinate time-limited projects related to machinery of government activities to support executive decision-making, organisational priorities and effective portfolio outcomes. The role may also be assigned to work across the Government Services Branch.

About YouWe're looking for someone with:Government experience, with a strong understanding of parliamentary processes, executive administration, and the machinery of government.Proactive and outcome-focused, with the ability to identify priorities and deliver with minimal direction.Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work in fast-paced environments.Experience developing systems, processes, and reporting frameworks, including establishing new approaches where required.Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and work effectively across all levels, including technical experts, executives and minister’s offices.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop practical solutions to complex issues.
