An opportunity currently exists for a Production Manager, on a full-time permanent basis. The purpose of this position is to lead and optimise flour milling operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing of quality products. The role is responsible for driving operational performance, continuous improvement and developing high-performing teams to maximise site productivity and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily flour milling operations to achieve safety, quality, production, and cost targets.

• Optimise mill performance, extraction rates, throughput, and product quality.

• Coordinate production activities across milling, packing and bulk loading operations.

• Lead, coach, and develop milling and production teams.

• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety, quality, and WHS requirements.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, reliability, and operational performance.

• Work closely with Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to support site objectives.

• Manage day to day employee relations aiming to improve existing employee relation on site.

• Meet weekly Payroll Office deadlines and respond to and answer any general payroll queries on site level.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

·       Extensive flour milling experience, with proven capability as a Flour Miller.

·       Previous leadership experience within flour milling, grain processing, or food manufacturing.

·       Strong technical understanding of wheat conditioning, flour production, quality systems, and mill optimisation.

·       Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and Outlook

·       Experience with preventative maintenance systems

·       D365 or similar ERP experience

·       Project management skills.

·       Strong communication and prioritization skills.
