Today, it continues to deliver quality health services to veterans as well as the broader local communities of Concord, Strathfield, Burwood, and beyond. The Senior Dietitian will provide advanced clinical leadership in the delivery of high-quality Nutrition and Dietetics services, ensuring evidence-based, patient-centred care and the optimisation of patient outcomes. The role will support the professional development, mentoring, and clinical supervision of dietetic staff, fostering excellence in practice and continuous service improvement. The Senior Dietitian may also provide clinical supervision, guidance, and direction to Level 1/2 Dietitians, Allied Health Assistants, dietetic students, and students undertaking observational placements, promoting a positive learning environment and the development of clinical capability.

Ideal Candidate

• Post graduate qualifications or Bachelor Degree that allows eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia, with experience at Level 2 or higher. 
• Advanced knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in provision of clinical dietetics, and the ability to work under minimal supervision. 
• Ability to independently problem solve, apply professional judgment and ethical boundaries when working with complex situations as per of a multidisciplinary team. 
• Ability to initiate, lead, complete and evaluate quality improvement initiatives and/or research focused on patient/client outcomes. 
• Experience in the provision of clinical supervision, mentoring and development of junior staff and students.
