Senior Release of Information Officer

The Opportunity

As a Senior Release of Information Officer you will manage the release of information in line with relevant legislation and Departmental policies, including Freedom of Information, State Records, National Redress Scheme, and child protection legislation. Youwill be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Managing information release processes by locating, researching, assessing, and preparing records for release in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Reviewing and preparing sensitive records for Freedom of Information requests, subpoenas, summonses, court orders, and public access requirements, including making recommendations on disclosure.
• Providing expert advice and legislative interpretation to internal stakeholders, government agencies, legal representatives, and applicants regarding access to information and information release obligations.
• Supporting compliance and continuous improvement by contributing to policies, guidelines, reporting, risk management, training, and ensuring adherence to legislative and departmental standards.
• Delivering high-quality customer service and stakeholder engagement through consultation, liaison, and timely responses to information requests, ensuring accurate, professional, and client-focused outcomes.

There is currently 1 fixed term position available for immediate filling for a period of 21 months with possible extension/permanency.
