Production Supervisor

About the Role

We are seeking a highly driven and hands-on Production Supervisor to lead operations within our fast-paced flag ship manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, can think on their feet, and is confident making real-time decisions to keep production running efficiently, safely and to required standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production across wash, preparation and packing lines

• Lead, coach and develop production teams to achieve volume, quality and safety targets

• Respond quickly to production challenges and implement practical, on-the-spot solutions

• Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP and hygiene standards

• Monitor product quality, freshness and shelf-life requirements

• Drive continuous improvement across operations

KPI Ownership & Performance Management 

• Manage and deliver against key production KPIs, including but not limited to:

  • MUV (Material Usage Variance): Control raw material yields and minimise waste

  • UPM (Units Per Minute): Maintain and improve line throughput

  • Line Efficiency: Maximise output versus capacity and reduce downtime

  • Labour Management: Optimise labour utilisation, productivity and cost control

  • FEFO (First Expiry, First Out): Ensure correct stock rotation and minimise write-offs

• Analyse daily production performance and take corrective action in real time

• Report on KPI performance and implement improvement initiatives

About You

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within food manufacturing, ideally fresh produce or ready-to-eat salads

• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, effective decisions

• Agile thinker with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset

• Demonstrated experience managing KPIs and driving operational performance

• Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP and food safety standards

• Confident leader with the ability to engage and motivate teams

• Comfortable working in a chilled, wet production environment
