About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

• Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge in Perioperative nursing delivering expert nursing care in complex situations while providing support and direction to other team members.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate staff and manage delegated resources including prioritising needs and supporting day-to-day changes.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with members of the healthcare team, patients, relatives and visitors and maintain a positive workplace culture through well developed consultation, liaison, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Demonstrated ability to role model excellent standards of comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care and documentation to facilitate quality patient outcomes, in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service and professional standards.
• Demonstrated ability to participate in the multidisciplinary team to identify areas for improvement in work practices and outcomes and contribute to the continued improvement of policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates honesty, integrity and respect for all patients, carers and staff.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
• Post graduate qualifications relevant to the position will be highly regarded or a commitment to be working towards achieving on of these qualifications.
• Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
