Job Title: Experienced Emergency Veterinary Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Vet Nurse to join our team at Gippsland Pet Emergency Clinic in Warragul, Victoria. This part-time or casual role will involve working week nights, weekends and public holidays only and providing high-quality care to our patients during critical moments. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a vet nurse, with emergency or critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

– Assist in triaging cases and prioritizing patient care

– Prepare patients for surgery and monitor anesthesia

– Provide compassionate support to pets and their owners

– Work closely with veterinarians to deliver high-quality care

– Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation

Skills:

– Strong ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

– Excellent communication skills with both colleagues and clients

– Compassionate approach to patient care

– Ability to work effectively in a team setting

– Flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekends

Qualifications:

– Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a veterinary nurse

– Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification

– Experience in emergency or critical care is preferred

– Commitment to continuing professional development
