About the job

As an Inclusive Employment Australia Assistant Employment Consultant, your responsibilities will include:

• Provide comprehensive case management support to participants, helping them address employment barriers and build the skills and confidence needed to enter the workforce
• Support participants to secure sustainable employment and engage employers through referrals, reverse marketing and on-the-job support
• Provide ongoing support to participants and employers to maximise employment outcomes, including facilitating workplace adjustments and obtaining required documentation
• Achieve or exceed KPIs while maintaining an outcome-focused approach
• Maintain high standards of administration, compliance and time management in line with Department requirements and Guidelines
• Engage with internal and external partners to connect participants with training providers, allied health services and other community-based organisations

About you

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders
• Strong organisational, time management and administration skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
• A team player with a commitment to contributing to a positive culture
• Ability to proactively problem solve, overcome objections and assist people living with disability to address barriers to employment
• Performance-focused mindset with experience achieving business targets and KPIs
• Strong computer literacy and confidence navigating complex internal systems
• Must hold a Driver's Licence, as travel throughout the region will be required

Industry experience is not essential. This is an excellent entry point into Employment Services and the Inclusive Employment Australia program. As an Assistant Employment Consultant, you'll support participants and the wider team while developing your skills and knowledge of the industry. We're looking for someone with strong people skills, sound administration and time management capabilities, and a genuine desire to help others achieve their employment goals. Experience in customer service, administration, retail, recruitment or community services can provide a great foundation for success in this role.
