Due to the recent award of a major long-term contract, we are expanding our workforce and seeking talented individuals to join our team. We are seeking Mechanical Fitters to join our growing team at Sino Iron Project, Cape Preston.

Position: Mechanical Fitter – 2:1 Roster (Shiftwork)
Location: Sino Iron Ore, Cape Preston (FIFO from Perth)
Employment Type: Full-time

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out mechanical fitting, maintenance, and repair activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, work packs, and instructions. The role ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards while supporting the companies' operational objectives and client requirements.

To be eligible for the role, you must possess the following:

• Good knowledge and experience in working in a complex environment

• High level of commitment to safety and safe work practices

• Able to work as part of an extended team and unsupervised

• Minimum 1-2 years' work experience as a mechanical fitter (experience in mining/resources sector highly desirable)

• Maintenance experience on fixed plant equipment highly desirable

• Ability to work in extreme heat (50 degrees)

Mandatory qualifications / tickets:

• Trade Certificate - Mechanical Fitting/Machining

• Valid Elevated Work Platform / HRWL - WP

• Valid Working Safely at Heights / Confined Spaces Ticket

• White Card

• Current WA Drivers Licence

• Applicants holding additional High Risk Work Licence classifications will be highly regarded

Applicants will be required to:

• Undertake and pass a Pre-Employment Medical before commencement

• Be clean shaven & work wearing a P2 Respiratory Mask
