Bookkeeper

We are south Brisbane based accounting practice and looking for experienced Bookkeeper who genuinely enjoys building client relationships, solving problems, and making a real difference. We are looking for someone to work with us on full time basis. Full training will be provided before start and salary will be negotiated based on experience.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

The role involves providing bookkeeping support including all aspects of accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, payroll and dealing with any other bookkeeping tasks as and when required for our business clients. Communicate with Australian Tax office regarding client's taxation affairs and with clients.

The Successful Candidate

• Client liaison and support.

• Book-keeping and Single Touch Payroll reporting for clients.

• Preparation of BAS and IAS returns and superannuation processing.

• ATO liaison and support.

• Preparation of management reports and analysis.

• Check e-mail regularly and acknowledge all emails.

• Must have excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.

• The ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

• Must have a pro-active and hard-working mentality.

• Strong understanding of accounting software such as MYOB, Xero

• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively

• Positive, friendly personality with a desire to learn and a great attitude.

• 1-2 years' experience in public practice.

• Degree Qualified and must have sound knowledge of Australian Taxation System.

• A good understanding of general accounting principles.
