We are seeking a commercially focused Finance Lead to support the financial performance of a major contract operation. Working closely with the Contract Manager, Account Managers, and operational teams, you will provide reporting, forecasting, cost control, and commercial insights to drive profitability and informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.

• Support month-end activities including accruals, WIP reviews, invoice verification, and reconciliations.

• Prepare rolling forecasts for revenue, labour, materials, and subcontractor costs.

• Monitor aged receivables, unbilled work, and outstanding purchase orders, escalating risks as required.

• Review job costing and pricing to ensure compliance with contract terms and schedules of rates.

• Partner with operational leaders to explain financial performance and identify improvement opportunities.

• Support the development of cost-saving initiatives, efficiency projects, and Capex proposals.

About You

• Experience in finance, accounts, contract support, cost control, or administration roles.

• Background in facilities management, trades, construction, maintenance, or a service-based industry is highly regarded.

• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with confidence working with budgets, invoices, rates, and large datasets.

• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including formulas, filtering, lookups, and reconciliations.

• Experience preparing forecasts, budgets, and financial reports.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial information into practical business insights.
