About the role
ABOUT THE POSITION
The position of General Hand works closely with production staff and is primarily responsible for the organisation of steel plate for cutting and the preparation of orders for delivery. Duties include the operation of cranes and forklifts to move plate, finishing of customer orders (chipping, grinding and cleaning) and the other associated duties to support the effective operation of the factory.
Afternoon Shift - 2:00pm to 10:30pm Monday to Friday
Night shift - 10:00pm - 6:30am - Sunday to Thursday
ABOUT YOU
Proven experience in a production, maintenance, warehouse or similar industrial environment.
Current Forklift Licence or willingness to obtain a licence
Experience in the operation of bridge cranes (preferred)
Experience in manual handling
Experience using hand tools
Organisation skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Problem solver, ability to understand instructions and complete tasks without direct supervision.
Ability to attain and retain fitness for work (including clear Drug and Alcohol Screens)
Currently have the right to work in Australia
