The ROLE

As a Sales & Service Manager, you'll play a pivotal leadership role in bringing this vision to life. You'll be empowered to create an inspiring customer experience, leading a passionate team in one of David Jones' most exciting retail environments. Combining strong commercial acumen with a genuine passion for people and service, you'll drive sales performance, build customer loyalty, and deliver seamless solutions that leave a lasting impression.

Leading from the front, you'll coach and develop your team, foster a high-performance culture, and collaborate across the business to continually elevate the customer experience. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of retail within a store designed to showcase the next generation of David Jones experiences.

What YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE

• You will lead by example by personally delivering on our service principles, engaging with customers, driving sales, and building a loyal customer base.
• You will coach and mentor the team to provide expert knowledge and seamless solutions.
• You will be visibly present on the selling floor, leading by example and inspiring the team to create warm connections.
• You will work collaboratively with the store teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
• You will look for opportunities for improvement whilst being commercially aware.
• You will work collaboratively with the VM and Logistics teams to ensure the allocated stock is floor-ready within the relevant timeframes.
• You will identify areas of opportunities for feedback to the Merchandise team.
• You will maintain stock loss awareness by working closely with the sell and support teams to mitigate loss by ensuring proactive measures are implemented.

What YOU’LL NEED TO THRIVE

• Strong coaching skills, including experience leading teams and empowering others to achieve results. 
• A demonstrated passion for retail and a desire to provide great customer service. 
• A solutions-focused mindset and the ability to provide innovation and effective customer solutions. 
• Proven ability to motivate and lead teams and inspire an in-store experience Like No Other. 
• Relevant merchandising and selling skills and key product awareness. 
• Strong written, listening and spoken communication skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced and evolving environment.
