Medical Receptionist

Overview:

We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in creating a positive first impression for our patients and ensuring the smooth operation of our front office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner.

• Manage incoming calls and schedule appointments efficiently.

• Manage, triage and action referrals for diagnostic testing and specialist appointments.

• Handle patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate information is collected.

• Maintain electronic medical records and ensure patient confidentiality.

• Process Medicare claims and verify patient billing information.

• Assist with billing inquiries and coordinate referrals.

• Support the clinical team, and Specialists with administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical administration preferred.

• Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare environment is highly desirable.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Computer literacy skills: proficient in Microsoft Office, Drop Box and familiarity with EMR systems.

• Ability to multitask and manage a busy office environment.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.

Job Types: PART TIME 2-3 DAYS (Monday and Wednesday availability is non negotiable)

Expected hours: 16 - 24 hours per week

Schedule: 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Medical admin: 1 year (Preferred)

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

• Australia (Required)
