Housekeeping Staff

Mt Quincan Crater Retreat located in Peeramon on the Atherton Tablelands is seeking casual housekeeping staff. The successful applicants will need to have some weekend availability to assist with rotating weekend rosters and public holidays. There is also room to grow and assist with check-ins , our events, working on weddings and events held at the retreat.

These are casual positions varying from approx 6hr - 30hrs per a week.

The candidates would be required to demonstrate:

• A passion for providing friendly personalised customer service
• Provide Room Attendant Services to Guests
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills
• Communication with guests
• Attention to detail
• Enjoys working in a small team environment
• Excellent work ethic and reliability
• A genuine interest within the hospitality industry
• Food handling certificate (or willingness to obtain is desirable)
• RSA certificate (or willingness to obtain is desirable)

Responsibilities:

• Thorough cleaning of guest accommodation - Treehouses.
• Changing linens and making beds to our high standards.
• Replenishing guest amenities and supplies.
• Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
• Reporting any maintenance issues or damages to management.
• Maintaining a clean and organised housekeeping storage area.
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Contributing to a positive and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
• Assisting with basic laundry duties.

Flexible hours - generally between 9:00am - 2pm (longer hours available for some roles), Must be in the local area and ready to work. This role does not offer full time hours, you must have your own transport and accommodation.

Rate of pay per hour after initial training (junior rates differ):

Weekday: $33.85

Saturday: $40.62

Sunday: $47.39
