As a Business Development Manager at Civica, you will play a key role in expanding the reach of technology that helps governments and public sector organisations deliver better outcomes for citizens. You will identify new opportunities, engage senior stakeholders, and create meaningful customer relationships that contribute directly to the growth of our business.

This is a highly visible growth-focused role where you will take ownership of building quality pipeline, progress new business opportunities and creating momentum across the sales cycle. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Services, Customer Success, Commercial, Legal and Delivery teams, you will help shape solutions that address complex customer challenges and deliver measurable value.

You will join a collaborative, high-performing environment that values curiosity, commercial discipline, resilience and accountability. Requirements

What you will need to be successful in this role

• Proven experience in business development, enterprise sales or technology sales environments.
• Demonstrated success creating and converting high-quality sales pipeline.
• Strong prospecting and market engagement capability, with the ability to identify and prioritise high-value opportunities.
• Ability to qualify opportunities effectively, assessing customer fit, business value, stakeholder engagement and commercial potential.
• Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to establish trust and credibility with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Commercial acumen with the ability to align solutions to customer outcomes and business objectives.
• Experience progressing opportunities through complex and multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
• Strong organisational skills with disciplined pipeline management and forecast accuracy.
• Ability to create momentum, maintain clear next steps and drive deal progression.
• Resilience, persistence and adaptability in competitive and evolving market environments.
• Collaborative approach with experience working across cross-functional teams to achieve growth outcomes.
• Results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on achieving pipeline, activity and revenue targets.
