Leading Hand Fitter - Quarries

• Lead the Maintenance team ensuring Boral safety and environmental standards are complied with.
• Oversee Plant shutdowns including contactors
• Prompt action and close out of safety issues affecting the workplace.
• Breakdown support
• Work on maintenance / repair schedules.
• Complete maintenance documentation.
• Carrying out toolbox talks and pre-work instructions
• Work closely with the Maintenance & Quarry Managers
   

• Trade certificate (preferred)
• A valid driver’s licence (essential).
• Experience in fixed plant operations
• Experience in Heavy Machinery
• Preferably experience in the quarrying industry
• Ability to maintain an energetic, self-motivated and enthusiastic work ethic.
• Strong safety and environmental awareness.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Quality orientation.
• Passion for operational excellence, safety and self-improvement.
