The Role: 

• Prepare SMSF financial statements, annual returns and compliance documentation 

• Assist with the administration of a portfolio of self-managed superannuation funds 

• Process fund transactions, investment activities and member balances 

• Prepare workpapers and supporting documentation for audit requirements 

• Liaise with clients, auditors, financial planners and other external stakeholders 

• Assist with pension calculations, contributions, benefit payments and compliance reporting 

• Review trust deeds, fund documentation and regulatory requirements 

• Ensure compliance with superannuation legislation and ATO obligations 

• Support senior team members with technical matters and client service delivery 

• Contribute to process improvements and ongoing team development initiatives 

About You: 

• 2–3 years' SMSF administration experience within an Australian accounting or specialist SMSF firm 

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline 

• CA or CPA studies commenced or intention to commence highly regarded 

• Strong understanding of SMSF legislation, compliance requirements and reporting obligations 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills 

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities 

• Professional, proactive and client-focused approach 

• Motivated to continue developing a long-term career in the SMSF sector
