Trainer & Assessor – Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration

ISMT is seeking a qualified and experienced Trainer & Assessor to deliver training and assessment for the Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration program.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced industry professional who is passionate about vocational education and supporting students to develop practical, job-ready skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality training and assessment for Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
• Conduct practical and theoretical training in accordance with training package requirements.
• Assess students' competency and provide constructive feedback and support.
• Maintain accurate training, assessment and student progress records.
• Ensure training and assessment practices meet ASQA, RTO and VET regulatory requirements.
• Participate in assessment validation, moderation and continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain current knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration industry practices, technology and regulatory requirements.
• Provide a professional, engaging and supportive learning environment for students.

Essential Requirements

Applicants should have:

• Relevant Air Conditioning and Refrigeration trade qualification, preferably Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or an equivalent qualification.
• Current and relevant industry experience in the air conditioning and refrigeration sector.
• Appropriate Trainer and Assessor qualification(s) that meet current Standards for RTOs requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in vocational education and training is highly desirable.
• Strong practical and technical knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Good communication, presentation and student engagement skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate training and assessment documentation.
• Commitment to quality training, compliance and continuous improvement.
