Role Description This full-time, on-site Secondary School Teacher role is based at The Glenleighden School in Fig Tree Pocket, QLD. The teacher will plan, deliver, and assess curriculum-aligned lessons, with a focus on supporting students with Language Disorder in a small-class environment. Daily responsibilities include differentiating instruction, developing individualized learning goals, and integrating literacy, numeracy, and communication support into classroom activities. The teacher will collaborate closely with allied health professionals and other educators to design and implement evidence-based strategies that promote student engagement, wellbeing, and progress. Additional duties include maintaining accurate records, participating in school events and professional learning, communicating regularly with families and caregivers, and contributing to a safe, inclusive, and respectful school culture.
QualificationsCandidates should possess qualifications as a Qualified Teacher and hold relevant registration/accreditation for teaching in Queensland or be eligible to obtain it.Candidates should possess strong Teaching and Lesson Planning skills, including the ability to differentiate instruction and develop individualized learning plans.Candidates should possess sound Mathematics and general curriculum knowledge appropriate for secondary school students.Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families.Additional beneficial qualifications include experience working with students with Language Disorder or other learning differences, training in evidence-based literacy and numeracy interventions, and understanding of inclusive education practices.Other desirable attributes include strong classroom management, cultural sensitivity, commitment to child
