About the role
The role:
Swan Materials is looking for a technically minded professional to join our Quality & Technical team as a Quality & Technical Specialist. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting our concrete, asphalt and quarry operations. You’ll combine laboratory analysis, field-based technical support, product investigations and quality improvement, working closely with production, sales, laboratory and technical teams.
You’ll have the opportunity to broaden your technical knowledge across three areas of construction materials while using data and practical problem-solving to improve product quality and performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
About you:
We’re looking for someone with a strong technical foundation who enjoys applying their knowledge both in the lab and in the field. You’ll be comfortable engaging with customers and operational teams, and able to turn technical information into practical, easy-to-understand advice. You’ll ideally have:
You don’t need to be an expert across all three disciplines. We’re interested in people with a strong background in one area who are curious, adaptable and motivated to broaden their knowledge across concrete, asphalt and aggregates!
Why join us?
This is an opportunity to take on a broad technical role where no two days are the same. You’ll have the autonomy to investigate problems, work directly with operational teams and customers, and make a tangible contribution to product quality and performance.
You’ll receive tailored development and training, combining hands-on coaching with self-directed learning, with a long-term pathway into Technical Management for the right person.
If you’re technically curious, practical and collaborative, and want to broaden your experience across construction materials, we’d love to hear from you.
