3rd /4th year OR A Grade Electrician

About the role

Fordys Electrical Solutions is seeking a talented 3rd/4th Year or A Grade Electrician to join our growing team in Shepparton North, Victoria. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to develop your electrical expertise within a dynamic and professional organisation. You will work on diverse projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, contributing to the delivery of high-quality electrical installations and maintenance services. This role is integral to our operations, allowing you to take on greater responsibility and independence whilst continuing to develop your technical skills in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial properties

• Read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and technical drawings accurately

• Conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting on existing electrical installations

• Ensure all work complies with Australian electrical standards and relevant legislation

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and systems

• Liaise effectively with clients, supervisors, and other trades on site

• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all health and safety protocols

• Operate and maintain electrical tools and equipment responsibly

• Document work completed and maintain accurate site records

• Contribute to continuous improvement of work practices and efficiency

What we're looking for

• Completed 3rd or 4th year apprenticeship or current A Grade electrician qualification in Australia

• Current or valid electrical licence relevant to Victoria

• Sound knowledge of electrical installation practices and Australian electrical standards (AS/NZS 3000)

• Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• A commitment to health and safety on site

• A valid driving licence and reliability in attending sites on time

• Preferred: Experience in commercial or industrial electrical work, or specific project experience in areas such as data cabling, switchboard work, or renewable energy installations
