Troppo Paediatrics
About the role
As Troppo continues to grow, we're looking for another Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team!
Paediatric Occupational Therapist | Fitzroy North
Start date: ASAP (flexible for the right candidate)
About Us
Troppo Paediatrics is a small paediatric OT practice based in Fitzroy North. We work with children and their families both in our clinic and out in the community, including homes, schools, and kinders. Our clinic space is shared with psychologists and speech pathologists, which means there are regular opportunities for informal consultation and support from other allied health professionals.
Being a small practice means caseloads stay manageable and you get real, hands-on mentorship. Our clinic is well stocked with toys, resources, and printing and laminating facilities. We also have an Allied Health Assistant who supports the team with admin and resource creation.
We operate on a hybrid model, so you can work from home, the clinic, or out in the community depending on what suits your week and your clients' needs.
The Role
We're looking for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team full-time (part-time may be considered for the right candidate). This role includes clinic-based sessions at our Fitzroy North location as well as community visits to clients' homes, schools, and childcare/kinder settings.
Start Date: ASAP (flexible for the right candidate)
Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 + superannuation (negotiable based on experience)
This role suits OTs with around 2 years of paediatric experience or more, with salary negotiated to reflect your experience level.
What You'll Be Doing
Providing occupational therapy services to children, supporting their participation in home, school, and community environments
Mix of clinic-based sessions and community-based sessions (schools, childcare centres, kindergartens, homes)
Completing assessments and writing reports
Collaborating with families, educators, and other allied health professionals
Contributing to a supportive team environment
Attending professional development and training to build on your clinical skills
Depending on your experience, your role may include supervising junior OTs, mentoring students, and taking on leadership responsibilities - either from the outset or as you grow into the role
What We're Looking For
Essential:
AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist
Around 2 years of paediatric occupational therapy experience or more
Current Australian driver's licence and own vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided)
Working with Children Check
Warm, genuine approach to working with children and families
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Desirable:
Experience with NDIS-funded services
Neurodiversity-affirming practice approach
Comfortable working across a range of ages and presentations
Experience with school-based or early childhood settings
What We Offer
Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 + superannuation (negotiable based on experience)
Leave: 4 weeks annual leave, 10 personal leave days, plus 4 mental health days per year
Professional Development: $1,000 annual PD allowance
Clinical Supervision: Regular formal supervision with the Senior OT/Director, plus uncapped informal supervision opportunities
Equipment: Laptop provided, work phone provided or compensation for personal phone use
Travel: Mileage reimbursement for all client-related travel
Team support: Access to our Allied Health Assistant for resource creation and admin support
Shared allied health space: Opportunities for collaboration with psychologists and speech pathologists
Fully equipped clinic: Toys, resources, printing, and laminating facilities available, with flexibility to take resources out for community visits. If there's something specific you need for your work, we're happy to source it.
Flexibility: We value work-life balance and offer flexible working arrangements
Fridays: Protected as a non-face-to-face client day for admin, planning, connecting with the team, and professional development
