Cafe All Rounder

About the role

Ruga's Cafe is seeking a passionate and customer-focused Cafe All-Rounder to join our team in Taperoo, SA. This is a casual position, offering 15-25 hours, Monday-Friday and the option for every third Saturday. Need to be available for early mornings (6AM).Opportunity for more responsibility and hours for the right candidate.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and serving a variety of cold beverages

• Food preparation, including preparing ingredients and assembling sandwiches, salads, and other light meals while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness

• Providing excellent customer service by taking orders, processing payments, and ensuring a positive customer experience

• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, including regular cleaning and restocking

• Assisting with other kitchen and front-of-house duties as required

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a food service/kitchen role, preferably in a cafe or similar environment

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide friendly and efficient service

• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation

• Flexibility and a willingness to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Basic food handling and preparation skills

• Barista experience is preferred but not essential
