Northern Private's Graduate Program is a structured pathway that supports your transition from graduate to confident, skilled practitioner. Our program is delivered over two distinct stages; 

• Year 1: Explore Your Potential: Gain diverse experience through rotations in various clinical settings, including: Medical, Surgical, Perioperative, Anaesthetics, PACU and Scrub/Scout
• Year 2: Focus Your Expertise: Tailor your development year to your chosen specialty, receiving dedicated mentoring and support to refine your skills and advance your career.

Why Northern Private Hospital?

Northern Private Hospital is a modern facility that opened in February 2024 and is directly connected to Northern Public Hospital. Graduates will develop their clinical skills by caring for patients across a variety of acute care settings. You'll be supported by a welcoming team, with a dedicated Staff Development Coordinator and experienced Clinical Preceptors throughout your graduate journey. Following the program, you'll have opportunities to pursue a range of career pathways, including EN to RN transition, Cath Lab, Endoscopy, Oncology, Cardiac Nursing, and Nurse Practitioner roles.

• Have completed or are on track to complete your Bachelor of Nursing. 
• Eligible for AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse by February 2027
• Hold valid Australian work rights.
