About the role
Conscious Healthcare SA is a boutique allied health service provider, driven by the belief that small acts of support, spark big waves of change in our community. Operating across South Australia we pride ourselves on our accessibility and tailor our services to individuals from a range of pathways including Medicare, private and NDIS. Our team blends evidence-based practice with trauma-informed and holistic approaches across psychology, Occupational therapy, Positive behavior support and dietetics disciplines.
We are now looking to expand our psychological capability with a part-time Assessments focused role. Offering a blend of in clinic and telehealth appointments this role will play an integral part of our allied health team, ensuring high quality, holistic care and assessment for our patients. This hybrid position will allow a high degree of flexibility and autonomy for the successful candidate without compromising on professional support.
The role:
Conduct high-quality psychological assessments for a wide range of developmental, cognitive and behavioral presentations including ADHD, Autism Assessment, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Learning, Intellectual Disability and IQ Testing.
Interpret assessment results and provide diagnostic opinions in line with ethical and legislative standards.
Provide comprehensive written reports to support diagnosis, funding applications, and treatment.
Work collaboratively with clients, families, carers, and other professionals to develop treatment plans that ensure outcomes are meaningful, culturally sensitive and client-centred.
Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date clinical records in line with professional and legislative requirements.
Provide consultation and support to clinical staff regarding patient mental health concerns.
Facilitate patient education and wellbeing programs (e.g. stress management, parenting support, coping strategies).
Contribute to staff training sessions on mental health awareness and psychosocial risk factors.
Requirements:
General Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Relevant tertiary qualifications in psychology (minimum 4+2, 5+1, or higher pathway completed).
Eligible for Medicare provider number.
Demonstrated experience in child, adolescent, and adult assessments.
Relevant postgraduate qualifications in psychology (Masters or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology).
Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening.
