About the role
About the role
We’re on the lookout for someone who'll fit right in with our crew at our Cairns-based Fleet Service Workshop. You’ll be working alongside our technicians, apprentices, parts interpreters, and management, making sure everything runs smoothly for our service department.
We need someone who’s got great people skills, can manage logistics like a pro, and has no problem working independently to keep day-to-day operations ticking along. You’ll also be the go-to for managing the workflow of our service jobs, maintaining the solid routines and procedures we have established will be key to your success here.
We’re after someone with plenty of experience in a similar role and a calm, cool-headed approach to decision-making. You’ll be hands-on, but also need to be comfy with the tech side—think computer-based processes and strategic planning. If you're someone who thrives on keeping things organized and making smart decisions under pressure, we want to hear from you!
Your Experience
This role gives you plenty of freedom to take the reins, so we’re looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience in a customer-facing retail role. Bonus points if you've got any experience in the heavy commercial vehicle service industry—it’s definitely an advantage!
To be successful you’ll need to be excellent at communicating, delegating, and liasing with both your workshop team and your customers. It’s all about keeping the wheels turning smoothly, and your experience will help you do that.
What you’ll bring to the table:
Clear communication skills—being able to explain things in detail is key.
The ability to plan and manage work flow in the workshop, while also working alongside our qualified tradespeople.
A focus on maintaining top-notch service standards and building great relationships with customers.
A track record of hitting Bi-Annual KPIs (they’ll be laid out for you in the job description).
A strong safety-first mindset.
If you’re a proactive, organized problem-solver who knows how to keep things on track and make clients happy, this one is for you.
Ready to take charge and make things run like a well-oiled machine?
What’s in it for you…
This is a full-time gig with an immediate start for the right person to step into a key role at a well-established company, offering long-term job security.
We’re offering a competitive salary based on your qualifications, experience, and skills.
You’ll get to work in a supportive environment where you’ll have the freedom and responsibility to own your results.
Plus, there’s room for growth—ongoing training and opportunities to level up your skills will be provided.
And did we mention the work/life balance? Weekends are yours to enjoy all year round, giving you plenty of time for family and fun!
