Carpenter

About the role

KAV Construction Group Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and skilled Carpenter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of carpentry and general construction tasks while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret building plans, drawings and specifications

• Measure, cut and install timber and other building materials

• Perform framing, formwork, roofing and general carpentry work

• Install doors, windows, skirting, architraves and other fixtures

• Construct and repair timber structures and components

• Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently

• Assist with general building and construction activities on site

• Ensure all work is completed accurately and to a high standard

• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and site requirements

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area

About you

• Previous carpentry or construction experience preferred

• Good knowledge of carpentry tools, materials and techniques

• Ability to read basic construction plans and measurements

• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship

• Good physical fitness and ability to work on construction sites

• Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team

• Commitment to workplace health and safety

• Valid Australian work rights
