Deep Creek Childcare Centre is a community-focused, not-for-profit early childhood service proudly governed by a parent-led Committee of Management. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team on a part-time basis.

About the Role

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will work collaboratively with the team to provide high-quality education and care for children while building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing nurturing, responsive and engaging experiences for children.

• Supporting children's learning and development through play-based experiences.

• Contributing to the planning, implementation and evaluation of the educational program.

• Building strong and respectful relationships with children and families.

• Maintaining a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

• Working collaboratively with educators and contributing positively to the team.

• Maintaining accurate documentation and contributing to observations and assessments.

• Following the National Quality Standard (NQS), National Regulations and relevant policies and procedures.

• Promoting and upholding the Child Safe Standards and a strong culture of child safety.

• Supporting children's rights, voice, agency and wellbeing.

About You

We are looking for an educator who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to making a positive difference in children's lives.

Essential requirements:

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent recognised qualification.

• Minimum 3 years' experience working as an Early Childhood Educator.

• Sound knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Standard (NQS) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

• Strong understanding of and commitment to the Child Safe Standards and child-safe practices.

• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.

• Current Working with Children Check.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

• Strong understanding of children's development, wellbeing and learning.

• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their individual needs.
