Company Description Grand Hotel located in the NSW Southern Highlands, The Robertson Hotel is a versatile venue offering weddings, private functions, corporate events, and accommodation for up to 100 guests. Situated in a picturesque countryside setting, the hotel provides a relaxed yet refined environment for a wide range of occasions. It is conveniently located just under two hours from Sydney and approximately 30 minutes from the South Coast, making it accessible for both local and destination events. The property is known for its charming atmosphere, scenic surroundings, and dedicated service to guests and event clients.Role Description The Event Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based at The Robertson Hotel in Robertson, NSW. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing weddings, private events, and corporate functions from initial inquiry through to event completion. Day-to-day tasks include consulting with clients to understand their needs, preparing event proposals and run sheets, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, managing bookings and event timelines, and overseeing event setup and breakdown. The Event Coordinator will also liaise with the accommodation and catering teams to ensure seamless guest experiences, handle event-related administration, and support sales efforts by conducting site inspections and responding to event inquiries. The role requires being present during events, including some evenings, weekends, and public holidays, to ensure smooth delivery and exceptional guest service.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Event Planning and Event Management skills to coordinate multiple weddings, private, and corporate functions effectively.Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to work with clients, guests, and internal teams in a professional and responsive manner.Candidates should have solid organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.Candidates should be comfortable working on-site, including evenings and weekends as required, and collaborating with hospitality, catering, and front-of-house staff.Experience in hotel, hospitality, or event venue coordination is highly beneficial, along with proficiency in basic office software and event management tools. Floor Manager skills a plus.A relevant qualification in events, hospitality, tourism, or a related field is an advantage, though equivalent experience will be considered.
