About the position

Council’s People and Culture Department is looking for a People and Culture Business Partner.

The main responsibilities will include: 

• Partner with various departments across Council to deliver strategic and operational HR advice.
• Investigate workplace issues, including performance, behavioural and disciplinary matters.
• Support people leaders with the implementation of organisational change processes within Council in accordance with Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

About you

• Sound knowledge of the FairWork Act and other employment legislation.
• High level of written and verbal communication skills including the ability to articulate and clearly communicate information to a broad range of stakeholders.
• A relevant qualification in human resources or a related discipline, or substantial experience as human resource practitioner.
• Demonstrated ER/IR experience.
• Ability to adhere to, accurately interpret and provide advice on Council’s policies, procedures, Enterprise Agreement, and relevant legislation.

This position is a Band 6A currently remunerated at $100,338.66 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
