Room Attendant

About the role

We are seeking a Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team at Quest Watergardens in Watergardens, Victoria. This is a casual position offering flexible working arrangements. As a Room Attendant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and comfort that our guests expect from our accommodation facilities. Your work will directly contribute to creating a welcoming environment and ensuring guest satisfaction during their stay with us.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms to the highest standards, including changing bed linen, towels and other furnishings

• Perform thorough cleaning of bathrooms, including sanitising fixtures, cleaning mirrors and floors

• Vacuum carpets, mop hard floors and dust all surfaces within guest rooms

• Restock guest amenities such as toiletries, tea and coffee supplies, and other essentials

• Report any maintenance issues, damage or defects to management promptly

• Ensure rooms are inspected and meet quality standards before guest arrival

• Follow established cleaning schedules and prioritise room turnover efficiently

• Maintain a safe and hygienic work environment by following health and safety protocols

• Respond professionally to guest requests and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in housekeeping, room cleaning or a similar hospitality role (preferred but not essential)

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards

• Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift items and work in various positions throughout the day

• Reliability and punctuality, with the flexibility to work casual hours as required

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Good communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanour

• Understanding of health and safety practices in a hospitality setting

• Willingness to learn and adapt to our cleaning procedures and standards
