Heavy Diesel Mechanic Fitters - Join the Westoz Field Service team!

About the role

Westoz Equipment Repairs Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter | HD Mechanic to join our team on a casual basis. This is a FIFO or DIDO role based in Various Locations in the Goldfields, Western Australia. 

What you'll be doing

• Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment and machinery used in the mining industry

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions

• Carry out scheduled servicing, inspections, and overhauls to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment

• Work collaboratively with the wider maintenance team to deliver efficient and high-quality service

• Adhere to all safety procedures and ensure a safe working environment

• Maintain accurate documentation and records of work performed

What we're looking for

• Formal trade qualification as a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve equipment issues efficiently

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams

• Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment and tools

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team

• Current driver's licence and ability to obtain the necessary site and mining tickets/licenses

• Roster Experience with Earth-Moving equipment: CAT, Hitachi, Volvo, Sandvik, Komatsu. - Highly desirable Field service experience

• ****WA RESIDENTS WITH AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP ONLY****

• Must be able to pass minesite medical

• Must have Australian Trade Certificate
