• Seeking an experienced and qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic
• Salary: AUD $85,000 - $95,000 per annum plus superannuation
• Location: Welshpool, Perth WA

Superscoop Trading Pty Ltd is a full-service transport and logistics company based in Perth, Western Australia. We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our workshop team in a full-time position based in Welshpool.

The successful applicant will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy trucks, trailers and transport equipment to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our fleet.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform routine maintenance on company equipment.
• Perform equipment inspections including brake systems, wheel bearings and steering mechanisms to ensure they are in proper working order.
• Diagnose and repair defects in company equipment.
• Test drive company equipment to ensure they are operating correctly and rectify any defects found.
• Replace all defective parts on company equipment.
• Ensure all parts conform to factory specifications.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Ensure the safe use of workshop equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Provide receipts and/or invoices for all purchases to the administration office.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must:

• Hold a relevant trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or equivalent.
• Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• Have experience servicing and repairing heavy trucks, trailers and transport equipment.
• Have strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Hold a current and valid driver's licence.
• Have a strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

Applicants will also:

• Be physically capable of lifting heavy equipment, parts and tyres on a regular basis.
• Be comfortable working in confined spaces.
• Hold a valid High Risk Work Licence (Forklift) (desirable).
• Complete a 100-point identification check.
• Consistently produce a high standard of work.
• Demonstrate a high level of safety whilst completing tasks.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
• Consider the feelings and needs of co-workers.
• Maintain a positive "can do" attitude in the face of obstacles.

Salary: AUD $85,000 - $95,000 per annum plus superannuation
