About the role
This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2027
Note: This position is being advertised as part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. A mandatory CV template is provided for use. The Role
As a valued member of the Warwick SHS community, the successful applicant will ideally be a passionate, conscientious and innovative HASS teacher, committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences for our students.
We are seeking applicants with a strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum: Humanities and Social Sciences, including History, Geography, Civics and Citizenship, and Economics and Business across Years 7 to 10. Applicants should also have the knowledge and capacity to contribute to senior secondary HASS courses in Years 11 and 12. The ability to teach Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Modern History and General HASS in Action would be highly advantageous. In this role, you will deliver a teaching and learning program that caters to the diverse needs of Warwick SHS students, ensuring every learner is empowered to realise their potential. Flexibility and a willingness to teach across other curriculum areas, as required, would also be valued.
The ideal applicant should bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, working collaboratively with staff, students and the wider Warwick SHS community. As a reflective practitioner, you should be committed to your ongoing professional growth and will actively embrace opportunities for collaboration within our learning area and across the school. You should play an active role in progressing Warwick SHS's purpose, vision and priorities through all aspects of your professional practice.
